Why Us?

UNDERSTANDING THE TERMS
& WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN
A broad term that refers to products and processes that meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. Sustainable products are responsibly sourced, energy-efficient, and minimize long-term environmental impact.
Compostable products break down into natural elements in a compost environment, leaving no toxic residue. Industrial composting facilities accelerate this process, making it ideal for foodservice disposables.
These items can be processed and used again, usually after going through a recycling facility. However, many materials (especially plastic) can only be recycled a limited number of times, and proper disposal infrastructure is key.
Biodegradable items break down naturally over time through microbial activity. Unlike compostables, biodegradables don’t always return nutrients to the earth, and breakdown time and residue vary depending on material and conditions.
